The Missy Project Community Screening Program - continued
The cost of the screening is expensive, enough so that a typical family could not afford the cost, as currently it is seen as "elective medical intervention" and is NOT currently covered by Insurance.
The costs range from $1,000-$2,500.
To sustain this program and to make it available to even more children and others that are at risk,
we need to raise $100,000.
THIS IS WHERE WE NEED YOUR HELP

Here are some alarming statistics:
-
It is estimated that up to 1 in 15 people in the United States will develop a brain aneurysm during their lifetime.
-
The annual incidence of brain aneurysm hemorrhage in the U.S. exceeds 30,000 people . 10 to 15% of these patients will die before reaching the hospital and over 50% will die within the first thirty days after rupture . Of those who survive, approximately 50% suffer some permanent neurological deficit.
-
Of all strokes in the United States, 33% are caused by Brain Aneurysms , which cause the highest Mortality rate in stroke victims in the U.S.
-
With two family members with Brain Aneurysm Disease history of all the above symptoms the percentage of incident increases dramatically to 20% .
Please consider your involvement in this very important research study and in The Missy Project. EARLY DETECTION SCREENINGS CAN SAVE LIVES.
